Flourecent Lighting
Flourescent lights and ballasts have come a long way over the years and not all are created equal. New flourescents last longer, are more compact, quieter and have better light quality. Changing from an old flourescent T12 tube lamp to a new T8 can save almost half the electricity used.
LEDs
LEDs are the cutting edge of technology and energy savings. Not only are they very efficient they also make nearly any room or enclosure glimmer and shine. Another big benefit is the fact that they last up to 70,000 hours!
ECMs
The ECM, or Electronically Commutated Motor, is an ultra high efficiency brushless DC motor that replaces old inefficient shaded pole motors. These motors save up to 70% more energy than their older counterparts. The ECMs that we install have variable speeds that operate at maximum speed when the compressor is on and lowers to a moderate speed when the extra energy is unnescessary. ECMs not only save money on energy they also have increased life compared to older motors, they are extremely quiet, and they reduce the strain on compressor by operating so much more efficiently.
Fan Motor Controls
Fan motor controls take an already good thing and make it even better. Because the ECMs we install have variable speed settings, the ECM controller is how to make use of this amazing function. Once the motors are installed and the controller is in place its possibe to get an additional 20% to 30% more savings than just having ECMs installed.
Beverage Case Controls
Case controls are way to save money that most people don't even think of. Your typical beverage case runs 24 hours a day wether you or any of your customers are getting anything out of them or not. We install a case control on them which operates them based on a sensor that picks up on movement and when no one is around for an extended period of time, such as at night, it shuts them off. The case controller periodically starts them up every couple hours to make sure everything stays cold all the time but saves several hundred dollars a year by not wasting the energy when no one's around.
